Studio Policies, Terms & Conditions
We value customer service and satisfaction above all else, striving to create a creative and comfortable environment for all our clients. To ensure that each session is conducted smoothly and professionally, we've established the following Studio Policies.
STUDIO RULES
No smoking: Smoking is not permitted in the studio.
Food and drinks: Enjoy your snacks and beverages in the lounge and patio areas. While you're welcome to bring them into the studio, please keep them away from equipment and furniture.
Cleanliness: Please dispose of trash in the provided bins.
Session attendance: For the best recording experience, we recommend having only essential individuals present during the session.
Drug-free zone: Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel a session if a client appears to be under the influence.
BOOKING RATES
Sessions are booked at the rates published by the studio. We require a minimum booking duration of one hour, and any additional time will be charged in increments of fifteen or thirty minutes. If your session exceeds the originally scheduled time and the studio is available, the extra time will be billed at the standard hourly rate. Lockout sessions are organized with a daily six-hour duration in mind.
DEPOSIT / REQUESTING TIME SLOT
To secure your preferred time slot, a 50% deposit is required 48h in advance of your session. Without a deposit, if another client requests the same time slot and provides a deposit, it will be granted to them. Deposits can be conveniently paid by bank transfer or by following a provided link using Revolut or a debit/credit card.
PAYMENT
Payments can be made in cash, debit/credit card, bank transfer or approved digital payment systems. No session media files will be released until full payment is received for the service provided. Payment terms and details will be outlined in the service agreement, ensuring transparency and a clear understanding of the payment process. Clients will also be responsible for legal fees, if necessary.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made with up to 48 hours' notice will result in rescheduling your session. If we can't rebook your time, you'll receive a refund.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in rescheduling your session with no refund provided.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or in case of a no-show will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
SESSION TIMING
The session clock starts at the agreed-upon scheduled time. If you arrive early and the studio can accommodate it, your session will begin early and last for the amount of hours previously contracted. If you're late for any reason, you'll be charged from the scheduled start time without exceptions. Please notify us if you anticipate being late. Setup time will be billed at standard studio rates, unless other arrangements are made.
STUDIO DOWNTIME
In case of studio equipment issues causing session downtime, you will not be charged for the affected time. M5 Studios is responsible for providing the booked session time, and clients agree not to hold us liable for any damages resulting from such downtime. We will also reschedule your session and inform you in advance whenever possible.
SESSION MEDIA
Session media files will only be released upon receipt of full payment and it is an acknowledgement that the job is approved by the client. Once the session media is provided to you, M5 Studios is no longer obligated to maintain a backup copy unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We recommend creating a backup copy immediately. Session materials left unpaid for over 30 days become the property of M5 Studios, and we are not responsible for any unrecoverable data.
LEAVING GEAR / ITEMS BEHIND
M5 Studios is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen gear/items left behind; however, we do our best to save these for whoever left them. We will under no circumstances ship or deliver an item to you. Properties left may be removed after a 'reasonable period' if the owner has not contacted us to retrieve them, unless other arrangements are made.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Every client and/or individual accompanying them will need to be respectful of all staff members. We will not tolerate any physical or verbal abuse, including “name calling” or “bullying”. To ensure a conducive and productive studio environment, we kindly request that all individuals present during a session refrain from disruptive behavior. In the event that anyone's actions or conduct hinder the progress of the session, we reserve the right to ask them to leave the premises. The individual or company responsible for studio payments will be accountable for the actions of all artists and guests brought to a session. These rules apply to all and help maintain a healthy business relationship.
STUDIO GEAR (DAMAGE)
Any damage to or theft of the property, property’s belongings or equipment, whether accidental or intentional, will not be tolerated and the client agrees to provide compensation equal to the full replacement value of the damaged or stolen item. Clients will be responsible for any damage to or theft of the property, property’s belongings or equipment, studio property caused by them or anyone in their party and it may result in dismissal of the session without refund.
COPYRIGHT AND LIABILITY POLICY
Clients are responsible for the content to be recorded, its copyright, talent or creative royalties, mechanical reproduction licenses, or any other liabilities for such material. The client affirm that they have the rights to record or reproduce the material and agree to indemnify M5 Studios for any claims, costs, losses, or expenses arising from any breach of representation, warranty, or agreement made by the client.
By engaging in our services and using our facilities, we kindly assume that all participants are in agreement with our studio policies. These policies are designed to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our studio.
